Free time!? WOO!

Hey hey! So first things first: service this morning... wow! It was basically amazing! The third yrs actually said it was the best service they had ever been a part of in Masters! We did three dramas and the third one really... hits people. Its a really... deep drama that our director Joey wrote to the song "Mighty Is The Power Of The Cross" by Chris Tomlin. I won't give details cuz you'll just have to have us in church to see it :) But other than service, nothin is planned for today, we're just hangin out at the church. So... random thoughts. I will be home 5 days for Thanksgiving, Mon-Fri so I wont get to preach to you :P lol but I would like to see everyone so I want to try and setup a weekday service or somethin that week so I can see everyone. Hmmm... oh! Masters can come basically whenever we get called by ppl so we could make multiple trips home if many churchs want us so the more churchs that call, the more I get to see you all ;) hint hint! lol And...hmmm...I know there is somethin else I need to tell you all but I'm totally blanking right now so if I think of it... oh! I remember! Don't hesitate to text me sometime, my phone is always on. I havent talked to many ppl from back home, I would love to hear from you sometime. You can also write me a letter. One last thing... I feel this change welling up inside me. Its crazy and I cant explain it but I feel...different. In a good way. I found myself quoting scripture to Whit last week. I used to worry about just about everything but now, I don't worry. Cuz everytime somethin comes up, I pray about it... all the time. Sometimes its the most random times... like today, when I was posing during a drama, waiting for my part to come up. I love that my relationship with God is so... strong... close...rejuvenated. I now read my Bible not becuz I have to for the next assignment, but becuz I enjoy it and becuz everytime... my view of Jesus becomes clearer and clearer. Its like gettin to know ur classmate, only on a so much more personal level...

New York

Hey guys! So I finally got some time to update this :) Well... we currently have 5-7 dramas in our arsenal. All of them are going really well, we all seem to click together pretty efficiently. Um... we left on Thurs morning at 9 to head here to New York. We got here at about 10 that night so it was roughly a 13 hr van ride. Loooooong ride! I've decided that once you get past Pittsburgh, PA is about as boring as Indiana lol but anyways, once we got here we were greeted by a whole bunch of nice ppl from the church we will doing service at. It's in the south Bronx, just about 5 min from old Yankee Stadium. We spent the night at the church and then Fri morning we just kinda hung out and met everyone. Friay afternoon we went sightseeing through Manhattan. We first took the subway (during rush hr btw, that was real fun) to downtown. We walked crazy fast cuz 'thats how we do in New York' apparently lol We then spent alot of time in the Museum of Modern Arts, where they were having a Van Gogh exhibition. They had the original 'starry night' there so that was pretty much awesome. Then we walked to Rockefeller and saw the ice skating rink and got some pizza. Then we walked quickly through Time Square and back on the subway to go home again. When we got back, we played Rock Band with the youth til like midnight. Today we drove to a huge 4-story mall and spent the day there. We went into the cheesecake factory and i bought the most amazing pumpkin cheesecake ever! But only 1 slice cuz it was crazy expensive lol Then we came back and had some awesome chicken and rice cuz the ppl at this church are puertorican so they KNOW how to cook lol And thats about it. As for the spiritual side of Masters, I've never felt closer with God. Everyday I say and do things that immediately make me think 'wow, I never pictured myself doin that'. God has really worked in my life already and I'm ready to see how much more He has in store for me. Its very exciting to me to know that trusting God can be so very rewarding if you put the effort into it...well, I must be off to drama practice so I'll try to post again tomorrow evening to let you know how service went. Drama... the good kind

Hey guys! Well, today has been a pretty fantastic day. We started with an hour of prayer, which we do every morning. Today's prayer time was really good for me because I realized just how strong the call to ministry is within me and I felt more motivated than ever before. Then, we had study time so I finished my report on Matthew and studied the lyrics to a song I need to memorize for a drama. Then we had lunch and worked on dramas. Dramas are coming along pretty well. They are really looking good and I'm very excited about the group of people God has assembled together here at MCGC. Our directors are the most amazing, motivated people and although they expect alot, we have no problem meeting their standards. Masters is a like a big family to everyone and the people in church absolutely love us being here. This evening we have a surprise event at 7 so I should prolly go study my 10 scripture for this week because I really need to get them memorized lol. I'll talk to everyone soon. God bless.

Hey guys! Today I finally got this set up to keep everyone updated with fresh information. Hopefully I will have time to update it regularly but who knows with our crazy schedule around here. So I think there isnt too much to update everyone on. But I can think of a few things...

-First, today we visited a nursing home to just kinda hang out with everyone. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed their company just as much as they enjoyed ours.
-We learned today that we will most likely leave for New York on Oct. 16th and be gone through the 20th doing our Masters service so that should be super fun.
-We started our dramas yesterday. The two we practiced are really lookin good and I cant wait for everyone to see them. Hopefully we will be able to perfect them before everyone sees em :)
-Lastly, I'm pretty much 100% sure that I want to do all three yrs of Masters and become a youth pastor. I've really felt like God is layin the path for me to do so. Both of my directors are childrens pastors so I'm really in the right place to get the best education for that that I can.
